Kari Killman

We would like to recognize Kari Killman as our Family 1st Community Hero! Kari and her family have been in the community for many years. Kari, who is a school secretary in Towanda does a great job bridging information regarding the school, City of Towanda and Family 1st Living, to help fill needs and communicate happenings between the groups. Kari printed and distributed flyers throughout Towanda for our grand reopening and community picnic. She helped solve the vandalism problem at the covered mailbox area and she and her daughter MacKenzie, have helped pick up and return playground balls that have wandered away. She always watches out for the kids in the community and works hard to help make our community not just a place to live, but a place to be proud of and call home. Thanks Kari and family for all you do! To nominate the next community hero, please call the office at 316-775-1080 or email Jennifer at jennifer@family1stliving.com.

Disc Golf Rules

WE HOPE YOU’VE GOTTEN A CHANCE TO CHECK OUT THE NEW DISC GOLF COURSE AT THE WEST SIDE OF THE COMMUNITY. IF YOU’RE NEW TO DISC GOLF, CHECK OUT A FEW BASIC RULES:

Objective of the Game

Disc Golf is played like traditional “ball” golf, but with flying discs instead of balls and clubs. One point (stroke) is counted each time the disc is thrown and when a penalty is incurred. The goal is to play each hole in the fewest strokes possible. The player with the lowest total strokes for the entire course wins.
